What Customers Say About Sony MDR-V700DJ DJ Style Monitor Series Headphones:

Your amplifier doesn't need much power to drive these and you can drive them to deafening loudness levels with no distortion. If you are into Rock or Pop more and like beefier bass then I would opt for the 700's. I listen primarily to classical music, but these are good for Rock and Pop as well.

Right now I am on the fence as which I would recommend: these Sony 700's or the Sony 7506's. I have no long term use with either. The 7506's just seem a tad more accurate.

I bought these headphones for there great specs which they live up to. The bass doesn't overpower the rest of the frequency range. So I will defer to others as far as long term durability.

The bass is big, deep, and roomy. Even with the remarkable bass there is excellent imaging in the midrange and treble.

now for the review: they are very comfortable, they're loud (just the way i like it) because of their design, you don't hear the ambient noise at all (love that). now the money maker:the bass, you just don't hear the bass, you feel it, they actually vibrate when the bass kicks in. Forget what you have read, these are the best dj headphones in the market (I should know, i'm a dj). if you're a dj, the single cup function is great. in my opinion, these are the best headphones EVER. i've had the same pair for two years straight. i'm guessing that the people who say they're flimsy doesn't take care of them.

I wont buy these ever again. I do admit that the sound quality and look is great, they are pretty uncomfortable and seem to have some problems. And depending on how you wear your headphones as a dj they break at the joints quite easily too.

But after that they decided to blow on me. Pretty inconvenient. The first few months of owning these headphones they were great.

A few of my friends have had the same model and the same problem. Pioneer and Technics make a much nicer product for just a few dollars more and they are both well worth the money. I never pushed them to the max or anything like that to make them do so, even when playing live.

I use the right side for djing while the left side sits on the side of my head most of the time, and of course the right side blew out.

I actually got these at B & H photo for $89 and a 2 year warranty for $11 (sorry amazon I still love you). 2. I love music and movies 3. I play music professionally and needed some good monitor headphones that sound like live shows (extra bass). Also now that I have these people that frequently "crash" at my place know to use these and not wake me up in the morning (afternoon). Thats all the cons Now the pros1.

I had to buy headphones for three reasons. 1.Yes they are heavier then most headphones (get over this quickly unless you are old or you have the neck of a 4 year old child).2. Yet when the bass came into the song there was none. These headphones work perfectly and give me the bass that I spent so much money getting and not being able to use at 2 a.m. So when action sequences start I want to hear them. You will look ridiculous in these (unless your ego is as big as mine)3. 1. I live in an apartment that isn't "noise" friendly.

My friend spent $120 on his and obviously loves them because he left them at my house for over 3 weeks now. When watching movies at home the 1/4 jack packs extra punch. Bose do not make anything that gets past the mid range and anyone who buys from them knows this (if it doesn't have a sub there is no bass people). in the morning. Ok my friend works for a company I will not tell you (starts with A ends with pple) So he got a discount on the Bose Headphones.

The Price. Overall nothing will ever be perfect and yes they are a bit clunky for the lazy in all of us but the price and sound quality definitely make up the difference. These headphones make the perfect substitute to my terrible hours and need to watch movies late at night.3. 2. I have a Onkyo receiver hooked up to a 7.1 jbl system usually watching movies from my ps3 through the digital optical port directly into my onkyo.

I tried them on and was very happy about the acoustic sound and light weight. Ok Cons first. These Headphones kicked the crap out of my friends Bose he left at my house.

these are great headphones my only complaint would be the built in eq; sounds good but is not accurate to the sound out put for live shows.
