Summary: If you have average sized ears or larger and want ear surrounding headphones, I suggest buying a more comfortable pair. Also, construction looks like it may not hold up with heavy use or abuse. please BELIEVE them.
very good bass, clear treble/mid-range. I have average sized ears and I constantly have to adjust these earphones to relieve pinching. PROS: These earphones offer excellent sound.
Other reviewers have mentioned this deficiency. CONS: They are uncomfortable to wear for extended listening.
Sony's ear-cup design is round, not oval, and the cushioning they use is not soft.
My only problem is that they are stinky because I use them at the gym, so I need new ones. I have used these headphones almost everyday for the last 3 years and they still sound great.
They hurt my ears after about 20 minutes, and the sound is tinny and too strong in the midrange. The Sonys are just awful by comparison. I bought these a few years back when I needed a second pair fast and was stuck shopping at Circuit City. I'd previously been spoiled with a set of similarly priced Sennheisers.
Buyer's remorse scale: 9.5 (10 being worst)Don't waste your money. I've only had mine for about 1.5 years. Like other reviews, the swivel points for the ear cups are plastic and will eventually break. Even if the headphones had the most perfect sound reproduction, it wouldn't matter since it won't stay on your head.
The purchase was easy with no problems. These headphones I could not find in any retail store, so when I saw them on amazon I was thrilled. The seller had them at a price I could afford.
